Of magic wands and such...

Check it out mom....I stole Dad's wand of power...

All I have to do is touch right here....

Are you ready for this?

Shazam! I'm sitting up.  Pretty cool, huh?

Now watch what happens when I eat it....

Failure to thrive

About a month ago, Josiah was labeled as a failure to thrive...meaning he's not growing like he should be.  Considering the fact that he's not even on the growth chart, it's not an unexpected diagnosis.
However, it did create in me a rise of motherly protectiveness.  After the initial shock and general discouragement, the stubbornness ingrained in me from my mom's side of the family took over, and I declared, "Not on my watch."
How much exactly are you wanting me to grow, mom?

I mean, let's be reasonable....

Just wait...I'll be bigger than Daddy soon!

Food, glorious, food! Fine dining and....

In the attempt to provide a balanced diet for Josiah, we've explored quite a few options.
Josiah devours sweet potatoes and anything mixed in with them.
If you want to see an eruption, try giving him bananas.
Avocados are tolerated when mixed with something else.
Of course, the first time for anything you'll get a look of sudden suspicion and doubt of trustworthiness.

Time to eat, mom?!

My little hobbit

Daniel has been reading The Hobbit out-loud to us.  Josiah decided to join right in.

All ready to go on our adventure!  What's a dragon, anyway?

Check it out, mom!  Dad has a special ring too!

Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of milk!

So, I thought up another story for you mom...

Don't get scared though, ok?

Once upon a time there was a beautiful Queen, an adorable prince...

That's me...hee hee...and a big ugly pirate!  Do you know what the pirate did?

He STOLE the prince's bottle of milk!!!

Can you believe it?

Heh, heh...don't worry.  The Daddy King caught the pirate and made him change the prince's diaper...

Silver Dollar City

Daddy helped Siah.

At the train station waiting for the only ride Siah went on.

Checkin out the view from the train window.

Daddy?  That hillbilly is talking to me...

Finally!  Now Daddy knows how it feels to be my size!

Our first family vacation took us to Branson, Mo. to Silver Dollar City.
We had a great time, even though it was hot!
