Jack Jack

One of my favorite things about Jack is his grin.  He really does make your day when you walk into the room and he grins while flapping his arms in excitement cause you're there.
I also love the way he responds to Josiah.
When Josiah arrives, Jack laughs.
When Josiah moves, Jack laughs.
When Josiah cries, Jack laughs.
It's great.
Absolutely love the fact that they are eight months apart.

First Family Vacation

We traveled up to Wisconsin this past weekend for a whirlwind trip to meet Grandpa and Grandma.
What a blast!  Dad rented a twelve passenger van and all eight of us took the shoulda-been-ten-hour trip together. We went part-way on Thursday, got there on Friday, and drove the whole way home on Sunday.
We could be on the road right now, except mom and dad are STILL loading the car...

What?  We get to sleep in this room and not the car?  Oh, yeah!

My first hotel bed!  So nice to be out of the car.

Jack's glad to be out of the car too....

Josiah is being held by the Queen.

Grandma and Grandpa teaching us how to play "Hand and Foot". Super fun.

Jack's helping his mom.

Goodness!  This is a tricky hand...

Oh, Mom!  You've got much better cards than Daddy.

Dad's teaching Josiah how to slide down the banister.

Meeting the cousins

Aunt Lindsay, I have a new cousin named Aisalyn.

Why is she making that noise?!

Pastor Coen blesses Josiah.

What language are you speaking?
Josiah met two new cousins recently. He likes them a lot.
Pretty amazing how God puts us in families.  We're really glad.

Midnight snack

Hmm, I know mom made chocolate chip cookies.  How can I get one?

Mommmm, I need a cookie to make me feel better...

Mom, puh-lease may I have a cookie?

Hum, this isn't working.

Mom? I love you.

Searching for treasure.

Remember when books had more picture than words on the page?  We've been discovering some great ones for Josiah.  He's not super impressed yet, but he will be.  His dad is oh so eager to share Pooh with him.  He'll do well, I wager.

K, I know there was a monkey somewhere around here....

Found him. Hanging from a tree...of course.
