Improvise...

Many things become great adventures.
Like finding a bed for Aliyah that fits in our tiny apartment.
We have an entertainment shelf...sans entertainment.
We have a large portacrib...sans room to put it.
So, we stuck the mattress from the crib on the entertainment shelf.
It works until she starts rolling over.
Or Josiah takes it over.
Seriously?!?  This is Aliyah's bed?

She gets a really cool bed. Can I hang here too?

Our little sleeper....

Eat and sleep...what a life!

Siah happens to love these giraffes.  Too bad he's too big.

Happy Father's Day

Taiwan celebrates Father's Day in August. Daniel got to celebrate it this year with kids!
One week old and already Daddy's girl...

Aunt Bitty has great taste in clothing!

Miracle: all three looking at the camera.
Don't ask what the extra stuff in the picture is...just
enjoy the smiles.

My boys. Love 'em.

Life in the new world

We came home from the hospital in the midst of a typhoon.  That'll be a story to tell Aliyah someday.  It's great to be home, great to be alive, and great to have Aliyah as part of our family.  Siah is adjusting well, and doesn't seem to mind too much that he has a new sister.  Cool things happen now that she's here.
Aliyah's first bath.

Siah checks the water temperature...often just in case it changes.

She didn't seem to mind it much....

Siah made sure we mopped the floor afterwards too.  Such a helpful son....

Siah Identifies

At the hospital, Siah checks out his sister...just to make sure all features were present!

See, Grandma, it takes a specialist to identify these...

You have to look close....

This is her mouth.  Nice and quiet.  That's good.

This is her eye.  It's usually closed.

And let's see....oh yes, my favorite.....

Her nose!!!!

Yeah, she'll do as my sister.

Siah meets Mei Mei

Josiah came up to meet his new sister yesterday morning.
It was love at first sight.
Oi! What do we have here?!?

It's Mei Mei?

And we're going to take her home with us?

Ummmmm.....

Ok! We can play manimuls and read books....

She's really little.

But I like her socks. Let's keep her.
